LIFE Classes are Bible Study Classes (sometimes called Discipleship Classes) that are offered twice a year at Harp's. Fall classes will begin Sunday, February 12th at 5:30pm, unless otherwise noted in the class description. Classes generally run for 12 weeks, unless otherwise stated.

PRECEPT STUDY - 1 Thessalonians - (Coed Class) - You, Blameless at His coming. Are you an example to others? Learn the principles of exemplary Christian living. Understand the spiritual warfare, sparked by the presence of the Gospel in the world, and the rapture of the church—God’s ultimate rescue. Leader: Angela Castleberry. “JAMES: MERCY TRIUMPHS” – by Beth Moore – (Ladies Class) “James, Jesus' own brother, started out as a skeptic. See how one glimpse of the resurrected Savior turned an unbeliever into a disciple. Bible scholars compare James to the prophet Amos. In other ways, James more closely resembles the Book of Proverbs than any other New Testament book. Topics in this study include: joy, hardship, faith, reversal of fortunes for rich and poor, wisdom, gifts from above, single-mindedness, the dangers of the tongue, humility, and prayer.” Leaders: Pam Greenoe & Debbie May, Workbook: $8.00, Thursday Mornings (9:15-11:15 am) beginning Feb. 2nd. "COURAGEOUS MEN" - Men's Bible Study Group - This group will be studying the book, The Resolution For Men which was written based on the movie, "Courageous". This study challenges men of all ages to become as bold and intentional about embracing their responsibilities as leaders of their homes, marriages, and children. It will inspire men to reconcile with their past, re-engage in the present by taking full responsibility for their wives and children, and then move forward with a bold and clear resolution for the future. Leader: Ken Helms, Book $6.00 This group meets on Thursday mornings at 6 am. (STARTS FEBRUARY 9TH) (B-204) SIGN ME UP

"IRON MEN" - Men's Bible Study Group - This group will be studying the book, The Resolution For Men which was written based on the movie, "Courageous". This study challenges men of all ages to become as bold and intentional about embracing their responsibilities as leaders of their homes, marriages, and children. It will inspire men to reconcile with their past, re-engage in the present by taking full responsibility for their wives and children, and then move forward with a bold and clear resolution for the future. SUNDAY NIGHT CLASSES (Starting Feb. 12th at 5:30 pm)

"FINANCIAL PEACE" - This is a video-driven study by Dave Ramsey. Find out how to beat debt and build wealth God's way, make a budget that you will understand and use, communicate with your spouse about finances, invest with confidence, and change your financial future. There is a member kit that goes along with this study. One kit per couple is required. The discounted cost of the kit is $45 for church members (Reg. $93). This class will begin earlier at 5:00 pm. "DISCOVERING SERIES" - Pastor Dennis will be teaching, "Discovering Church Membership-101" and "Discovering Spiritual Maturity-201" back-to-back on Sunday evenings. The series is for anyone who has not taken it. Members may attend one or both of the classes they have not completed in the series. There is no charge for this class. All materials are provided. "RUTH: Loss, Love, and Legacy" - by Kelly Minter (Ladies Class) Join us for the study of Ruth's journey of unbearable loss, redeeming love, and divine legacy. THis study delves into the virtuous character of Ruth, her unique relationship with her mother-in-law, Naomi, and her blossoming love with Boaz. "ADULT CHOIR" - For those who find it hard to rehearse with us on Wednesday evenings, there are no more excuses for not singing in the choir. This practice time is set up to give you another opportunity to join the music ministry here at Harp's and make your "joyful noise". Thanks to this new series, Scripture memorization and Bible learning has never been easier or more exciting-and engaging to kids. Older children will be given the opportunity to participate in the drills competition. The purpose of the drill is to help children:

· Increase in knowledge of the Bible

· Develop skills in locating Bible books and key passages

· Memorize the names of the books of the Bible in order plus selected Bible verses and key passages

· Learn how to apply the Bible to their lives
